Here is my email. --- From - Sun Jul 04 15:15:07 2004 X-Mozilla-Status: 0001 X-Mozilla-Status2: 00800000 Message-ID: <40E8573A.903@cprogrammingcentral.com> Date: Sun, 04 Jul 2004 15:15:06 -0400 From: Eric Marcarelli User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 X-Accept-Language: en-us, en MIME-Version: 1.0 To: nintendo@noa.nintendo.com Subject: Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars for GBA Content-Type: text/plain; charset=windows-1252; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Hello, I hope someone actually reads this. Even if human eyes see if, you'll probably just click a button and send some sort of auto-reply that was typed out months or even years ago. The reply will be broad enough so it would seem as if it was well chosen but that would only be a trick. It would only seem to fit my problem because it had no real content. No real answers. I am a long time Mario fan, and I have created and worked at several Mario or Nintendo related fan sites. I love ever Mario game, and I own all of the major, and a few minor games. I own every Nintendo system ever sold in the United States, even Virtual Boy. I think that kind of dedication has earned me the right to a few minutes of your time, and a real, honest reply. I hope you'll agree. Anyway, now that I hopefully have your attention, the issue I am addressing is a Game Boy Advance port of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Is there one currently in developement? My research on the internet points to no, but I remember gaming magazines printing rummors about one a couple years ago. Certainly these had to be based in some truth. So if the project was scraped, could you kindly tell me why? Do you think it won't sell well? I'm sure it would. SMRPG was one of the best Mario games. If you could sell SMB2 as Super Mario Advance then you could sell a SMRPG port. I mean look at the Classic NES series. If people will pay REAL MONEY to play Donkey Kong and Ice Climbers on GBA than I'm positive they will buy SMRPG. I'm not asking for a remade "better" version of SMRPG. We don't want that. An exact port would be better than that. Don't mess with the classic, it is already PERFECT. SMRPG is a unique game. I've never been a big RPG fan but I, like many others, love SMRPG. The story is epic, the characters are fantastic, the music is unforgettable, and on top of that the graphics are nice too. Being able to see and avoid enemies is an awesome thing that I hadn't ever seen before. SMRPG's cut-scenes are actually worth reading. SMRPG is a great game that will sell very well on GBA. Whether someone is playing for the first time, or a veteran returning, it will be enjoyed by all. Especially you at Nintendo who get the raises due to sales increases! I beg you to help in any way you can. Call in any favor. I know you are a SMRPG fan at heart. Get this email on to the desk of anyone who could make a difference. Give it to the president. They need to know how the fans feel. And if they already know, why isn't the port being made? Making SMRPG for GBA will be a great move. People will buy it. So many want it. Thousands have signed petitions, and countless hundreds of thousands would surely support this game if asked. Thank you very much for your time, and hopefully for your support. As you can imagine, we receive numerous e-mails like yours requesting that we release Super Mario PRG for the Game Boy Advance. However, at this time, Nintendo has made no announcements about doing so, but they are certainly aware of the demand for one, including the petitions on the Internet. So the most we can do is forward your request to the appropriate departments here for further review. In the meantime, we did announce Paper Mario 2 for the Nintendo GameCube, which is estimated to come out this October 11th. Sincerely, Nintendo of America Inc.
